Mind-Body ApproachAnalytical hypnotherapy is a mind-body approach to working with the unconscious part of your mind to aid in the relief of pain and uncomfortable somatic symptoms. Working with your unconscious mind, in collaboration with your therapist, enables the root cause of a symptom to come to light. The advantage in working in this way is that you will be activating your own creative healing resources to resolve issues in your own way, and embarking on a deeper relationship with ‘Self’. For many clients, it is the beginning of a sense of their own ‘inner landscape’, while for others it will come as a surprise that such innate healing ability is available.

Length of TherapyIn the first session I generally gather as much information about the symptom to build up a picture of how it is constructed and the best way to reduce its emotional affect. This helps me to recommend the number of sessions that may be required. For less complex issues 3 - 4 sessions may suffice while more complex cases usually require 8 - 12 sessions. |
